About The Artist:

Jill Amanda Kennedy is an experienced adult education tutor and practitioner in textiles, embroidery and other mixed media crafts.

She has, for many years, been absorbed in creating; realising her ideas through the application of mixed textile techniques and working with various mediums from paper to plastic.

Her love of colour, texture and pattern come together in her vibrant textile and embroidery work. She likes to combine rich colourful fabrics and fibres with free-machine embroidery to construct a sumptuous surface that has both depth and texture.

Jill likes to work in 3 dimensions as this presents another interesting aspect to her work.
